My 1st Ever Birthday Message

Hi Everyone!

 

Today is my first ever Birthday! I might not know it now, but I would think that I am pretty proud of having survived it out here so far. Some adults (including my Dad and Mom) tell me that this world could be a hard place to live in. I'm not too sure about that - I've been happy getting my regular hugs and kisses from my loved ones, and a regular supply of milk really helps! So, since its my first birthday (and I've gotten plenty of gifts), I thought I might be helpful to you adults by sharing 4 tips I found useful during the last 12 months. They certainly helped me, and also helped me spread cheer into the lives of my Mom, Dad, my two Grannies, Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles

Do No Harm (that's the name of this blog) officially turns 1 year old today! On a note of egotistical self indulgence, this blog has also been mapped to www.fareez.com!

What started out as an impulsive endeavour (then again, most of my endeavours are actually rather impulsive) has resulted in a blog with quite high readership numbers, and me actually updating it quite regularly in spite of a rather busy work and life schedule. 

So it's been exactly one year, and as I reflect on what actually keeps me going in keeping this blog alive, I managed to come up with a few possible answers.

This Diamond

 

 

This Diamond you see

did not come to be

From a life of fun

or time in the sun

 

It had not so much luck

Starting life in the dark

Fondly looking above

And yearning for love

 

There wasn't much pleasure

being faced with much pressure

Or confront all its fears

Over a gazillion years

 

But Strain makes it harder

And Cuts make it Glitter

Though YES these things BURN

But they're lessons to Learn..

 

Now it sits on a ring

It's ready to sing:

"I am ready to start

To touch someone's heart!"

 

"But I would not be here

If I shedded no tear

Or found myself last

many times in the past"

"Let me share something witty:

Though you think I sit pretty

 

"Of All the gems:

ONE THOUSAND AND ONE

Movie Review: Shutter Island

 

Was watching shutter island  on DVD with the wife and some good friends of ours the other day. I define good movies by how they make you think and ponder on the story and content, even much later after you watch the show. If that is the case, Shutter Island is definitely a great movie as it has still left me thinking about its plot and implications to my own practice even now, after I watched the movie last Saturday.
